３年次情報ビジネス系列の商業科目『ビジネス・コミュニケーション』の授業において、イギリスから赴任されているＡＬＴのルーカス先生と一緒に、ビジネスにおける名刺交換や取引交渉についてロールプレイングを行いました。

　

　まず、日本とイギリスに共通する点を考えることで、英語を話すことへの関心を高めました。次に、スライドを用いて、日本がイギリスから学んだレンガ造り、造船、登山文化について紹介があり、イギリスをより身近に感じることができました。

　さらに、ルーカス先生とのロールプレイングを通して、ネイティブの自然な英語の表現や話し方を学ぶことができました。これからも引き続き、英語によるビジネスコミュニケーションを学習し、世界で活躍できる人材を目指していきます。

In the “Business Communication” class of the Information Business course, students practiced by role-playing with ALT teacher Lucas from the United Kingdom, focusing on business situations such as exchanging business cards and conducting negotiations.

First, by considering the similarities between Japan and the United Kingdom, students became more interested in speaking English. Next, through a presentation, they learned about elements Japan adopted from the UK, such as brick architecture, shipbuilding, and mountaineering culture, which helped them feel closer to the UK. 

Finally, during the role-playing session with Lucas, students learned natural expressions and speaking styles of native English.

Moving forward, they will continue studying business communication in English, aiming to become individuals who can succeed on the global stage.
