ALTと実践！空港税関でのロールプレイング（3年次 ビジネス・コミュニケーション授業）

３年次情報ビジネス系列の商業科目「ビジネス・コミュニケーション」の授業で、ALTのルーカス先生との英語によるロールプレイングを実施しました。今回で３回目となる授業は、生徒たちの積極的な参加により、さらに充実したものとなりました。
まず、ウォームアップとして英語で自己紹介を行いました。趣味や好きな食べ物について話す中で、ルーカス先生とのコミュニケーションが前回よりもスムーズに、そして自然にできるようになってきました。
今回のメインは、空港での税関審査のロールプレイングです。実際にスーツケースを使用し、税関職員とのやりとりをリアルに再現しました。この実践的な活動を通じて、現場で通用する英語のコミュニケーション能力を養うことができました。
ルーカス先生からは、さらなるスキルアップのためには「相手と話すときに、より豊かに感情を表現すること。空港での税関審査などでは、ジェスチャーだけでなく正確な英語を使うことで、よりスムーズなコミュニケーションにつながる」ということを教えていただきました。
これからも、英語によるビジネスコミュニケーションの学習を継続し、世界で活躍できる人材を目指していきます。

3rd Year "Business Communication" Class: Practical Role-Playing at Customs with Our ALT
In the 3rd Year Business Communication class (Information Business Track), we conducted an English role-playing session with our ALT teacher Lucas. This was the third session of its kind, and the students' enthusiastic participation made the class even more productive!
Deepening Communication Through Self-Introductions
We began with self-introductions in English as a warm-up. By discussing our hobbies and favorite foods, communication with ALT teacher Lucas became smoother and more natural compared to previous sessions.
Practical Learning: Airport Customs Role-Playing
The main activity this time was a role-playing simulation of an airport customs inspection. Students used actual suitcases to realistically practice the exchange between a passenger and a customs officer. This hands-on activity helped students develop practical English communication skills that are applicable in real-world settings.
Advice from ALT teacher Lucas
ALT teacher Lucas offered valuable advice for further skill improvement:
Enrich Your Emotional Expression: Be more expressive with your emotions when speaking to others.
Combine Gestures with Accurate English: In situations like customs inspections, using accurate English along with gestures leads to much smoother communication.
Taking ALT teacher Lucas's advice to heart, all students will continue to study business communication in English with the goal of becoming globally competitive professionals.
